Jones, Shine Forward Films exists to bring light to hard places, spotlighting real people, real faith, and the choices that change lives. It's part of the Shine Forward Creative Group.
About the Film
One Choice: Forgiving a Killer is a feature documentary about the 2003 murder of Indiana State Trooper Scott Patrick and the unlikely, hard-won journey toward forgiveness that followed. It's a story about grief, faith, and the radical decision to choose grace over vengeance: what that choice costs, what it frees, and how it can transform even the people you'd least expect.
This isn't a true-crime story about how life ended. It's a story about what it takes to keep living and to forgive after the unthinkable.
About the Filmmaker
Stephanie L. Jones is an author, TEDx and keynote speaker, and filmmaker known as the "Giving Gal." She's written more than ten books and built her work around a simple conviction: that giving, grace, and second chances can change everything. One Choice: Forgiving a Killer is the most personal project she's ever taken on. It is a story she's financing and producing independently so it can be told the way it deserves to be told.
